يتمثل شعار الجمهورية اليمنية في نسر يرمز الى قوة الشعب و انطلاقه في آفق التحرر ، باسطاً جناحية على العلم الوطني ، و مرتكزاً على قاعدة كتب عليها :

كما نقش به رسم يمثل سد مارب و شجرة البن باعتبارهما من ابرز خصآئص اليمن ، و يرمز ذلك الى و حدة اليمن و حضارته و تاريخه.
